Hello, my name is Lacey Donald! Although I’ve lived in PG since I was about eight years old, I’m originally from Corner Brook, Newfoundland. I’ve also lived in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and Terrace Bay, Ontario. The schools I’ve gone to in the district include Malaspina, Quinson, Lakewood (now Lac des Bois) and PGSS, the latter of which was where I graduated. Following that, I attended CNC and UNBC, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in 2017. I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Psychology. No surprise, but my favourite subjects in school include biology, chemistry, and psychology, but I also love English, literature, foods, foreign languages, and film.

When not in the classroom, I usually can be found enjoying my hobbies at home. Watching and analyzing movies is a passion of mine, as are cartoons (including anime) and video games. Music has always been a big part of my life, so I’m fond of listening to it, practicing piano and singing (badly!). In the late summer and early autumn, I like going foraging for mushrooms for study and identification. For me, one of the best things about being a teacher is seeing a student find their own understanding and fascination within the subjects I teach. I also enjoy talking with students and listening to the things they are passionate about, even if I know little about it myself.
